Elon Musk says he wouldn’t get on his knees for anyone’s forgiveness after affair claims

Elon Musk insisted to The Post on Monday, “I wouldn’t get on my knees and beg for anyone” after he was accused of ruining his friendship with Google co-founder Sergey Brin by sleeping with his wife.

The 51-year-old billionaire hit back after the Wall Street Journal reported he’d dropped to one knee and pleaded with Brin, 48, for forgiveness after an alleged dalliance with his best friend’s estranged wife, Nicole Shanahan.

The Journal said in statement Monday, “We are confident in our sourcing, and we stand by our reporting.”

Musk, who strongly denies sleeping with Shanahan, maintained he and Brin were still on very good terms – despite the rumors their bromance had cooled in the wake of the alleged betrayal.

The world’s richest man insisted exclusively to The Post he had never knelt in front of his fellow billionaire because “I would only kneel to propose marriage.

“And I have not proposed to Sergey,” Musk quipped.

Elon Musk hit back after the Wall Street Journal reported he’d dropped to one knee and pleaded with Sergey Brin, 48, for forgiveness.

Asked if he would consider suing the media outlet for reporting the alleged December fling was the catalyst for Brin’s divorce, the Tesla mogul said it was better to make his denial known on Twitter.

“Legal action by a public person against a news organization in America is futile. Better to refute on Twitter or ignore, which is what I do most of the time,” Musk told The Post in an email.

“I spoke to both Sergey and Nicole about the article and they were both adamant that they had not talked to WSJ, nor authorized anyone to speak on their behalf,” Musk wrote.

“Moreover, I was with Sergey from Saturday night to yesterday afternoon with many mutual friends and it was a super positive vibe.”

Earlier Monday, Musk sent The Post a photo of himself partying with Brin as he insisted the claims of a fling were “total bs” and quipped he hadn’t “even had sex in ages (sigh).”

Musk also said he had only seen Shanahan twice in the three years – and both times “with many people around.

“We were not romantically involved in any way,” Musk reiterated before doubling down in similar messages shared on Twitter.

The Journal, citing a person close to Shanahan, reported that Brin and Shanahan were separated but still living together when the so-called fling unfolded during the well-heeled Miami festival Art Basel.

The Google co-founder, who is worth $90 billion, filed for divorce in January, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
